Towel rack, soap holder, toilet roll holder: each to their own place. But what distance from the mirror do I need to hang the wall lights? What height do you place the towel holder? What is the best length for the towel bar? If you do not know how to answer these questions, after having studied where to place the bathroom accessories, it will be useful to know the distances and the right heights where wall-mounted bathroom accessories should be placed.
The height and distance of the wall-lights
There is not a pre-established height to hang wall lights. Usually, these are placed near the mirror to light up better and make cleaning teeth, make-up or shaving easier. A useful suggestion is to place them close enough to the face to light up better, but also distant enough not to be too much. Generally, wall lights should be positioned at the height of the face – so between 150 and 175 cm from the ground, depending on your height – and placed about 90-100 cm from each other. The height of the toilet paper roll holder
It is easier to place the toilet paper roll holder, which does not require a particular placement in relation to the other bathroom accessories. Recommended height for toilet paper holder is approximately 60-70 cm from the floor. However, if it’s possible it’s better to place the toilet roll at at least 20-30 cm from the front edge of the toilet.
The recommended height for wipes – towel holder
Take care to place the towel rails (or towel holders) at the correct height. Generally, recommended height is about 110-140 cm from the floor for face and hand towels, at least 150 cm for those for shower or bathrobes, while towel holder for bidet can be placed at about 70 cm from the floor. The same measures are also valid for wipes and ring towel holders.
The length of the towel holder
Towel racks are usually available in three lengths: 45, 60 and 75 cm. The 45 size is more suitable for small bathrooms and for storing a single folded bath towel. A 60 cm towel rail is better suited to oversized towels, while 75 cm towel can hold two towels folded in three parts.
