Washing machine and dryer, are two essential appliances that makes everyday life easier, but nobody really wants to have them in plain sight in the bathroom. For those who do not have enough space for a laundry area, the question is simple: how to hide washing machine and dryer in the bathroom? With a little creativity and some trick, you can hide appliances in bathroom, keeping them completely out of sight: here are 3 solutions.
1 – Hide washing machine and dryer in the closet
The first and easiest option to effectively hide washer and dryer in bathroom is to place them inside a full-height wardrobe or a simpler modular bathroom cabinet. When they are closed, nobody knows what’s behind the doors. Of course, you must first check the minimum sizes (at least 70 cm in width, 60 cm in depth and 90 cm in height for a standard washing machine) to store the appliances and set up water connections and power outlets. Even more practical is hiding the washing machine in a cupboard under the sink.
2 – Insert them in a niche
Knowing how to use all the spaces is essential in the bathroom. With a tailor-made solution, you can place a washing machine in spaces that are difficult to use such as niches, protrusions or breach with non-orthogonal walls, wherever it’s allowed. Hiding it will be a piece of cake: you just have to close the niche with a door, a separé or a curtain and place a worktop above it to exploit the space above it like a shelf.
3 – Create a separate laundry area
If the size of the bathroom is enough, you can create a real laundry area, separated from the rest of the bathroom with folding folding doors, a separé or a sliding wall. But even if the space available is limited, you can stack appliances to take advantage of the height and create a small laundry corner.
