At Milan Design Week, among this year’s new proposals, Flaminia introduced two bold new countertop washbasins and a new close-coupled toilet model.
Compact and Modern Sanitary Ware
In response to the high demand for non-recessed cistern toilets with compact dimensions, the company expanded its range with the Play close-coupled toilet, featuring a reduced depth of just 58 cm. It is also available in the Plus version, ideal for renovation projects. This rimless toilet, equipped with a soft-close seat, also includes the innovative gosilent flushing system, which combines the advantages of rimless design with reduced flushing noise. The successful Play collection—designed by the company’s creative team—already includes wall-hung and floor-standing toilets, countertop washbasins, and a freestanding bathtub. It is now complemented by this compact unit with a ceramic cistern, once again defined by squared shapes, rounded corners, and pure, neutral lines.
This solution joins the App close-coupled toilet, which is also compact and available in various colors and in a Plus version. However, it stands out for its goclean system and its softer, more rounded shape.
Designer Washbasins
Ceramic washbasins have now become a key element in bathroom furnishings. This year, Flaminia presents two standout designer washbasins.
Unique in its kind is Falala, designed by Elena Salmistraro, which showcases the expressive potential of ceramic. With its three-dimensional texture and soft, enveloping shape, this piece pays tribute to Sub-Saharan African culture. In Ghanaian, Falala means “born into abundance.” The design draws inspiration from the forms of African baskets and evokes the atmosphere of the continent. The washbasin is also available in the special Crystal finish, which enhances the relief decoration with a distinctive light-and-shadow effect.
Another original proposal is the Siena washbasin, designed by young Indian-born designer Advay Gupta, winner of an international design contest. This ceramic piece features a fluid, continuous form reminiscent of the gentle curves of the Tuscan hills.
In line with 2025 bathroom design trends, the company from Civita Castellana is offering highly customizable, sustainable products with innovative textures and technical advancements.
