We are used to view ceramic as a material used in the home only for bathroom sanitaryware, tiles or crockery, whereas in actual fact ceramic is a material with many properties and great aesthetic value, which may be put to a variety of uses in the home.
Ceramic furnishings and accessories lend themselves to a wide range of interior design applications, in terms of both product types and style combinations.
Furnishing ceramics
Flaminia has always had a passion for experimenting and it has explored new frontiers in terms of ceramic production and applications, going beyond the limits of ceramic for bathroom furnishings.
With Flaminia, ceramic and furnishings find a synthesis along two lines:
- Interior lamps, described in our catalogue Flaminia Lighting;
- Furnishing complements, such as Rocchetti stools and Brick shelves
The lamps and the stools, in keeping with the other products of the brand, are more than simple ceramic objects for interior decoration: they are styled by renowned designers and give character and personality to every room.
Ceramic for interior design
The catalogue Flaminia Lighting features names such as Paola Navone and Patrick Norguet, as well as young designers such as Hsiang-Heng Hsiao, whose collaboration with the company began in the bathroom sector, giving life to three collections: Make-Up, Lux and Saltodacqua.
Rocchetti stools are not simple ceramic seats, they are veritable designer ceramic furnishings styled by one of Italy’s greatest designers, Alessandro Mendini.
Another piece of home furniture entirely made of ceramic is the line of Brick and Brick slim shelves, available in various colours, which may be installed as suspended storage units in any environment.
These types of product are suitable for both contract and domestic environments. Modern furnishings in ceramic, for all settings and all contexts, beyond the bathroom, is one of the frontiers that Flaminia has crossed by embarking on new production and commercial ventures.
