The tap, a common object present in all homes, is actually an element dating back to distant times.<\/p>\n

The appearance of the first taps<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The first finds of taps as a household object date back to Roman times. These are taps called “male”, a system based on the rotation of a drilled cylinder which allowed the water to escape.<\/p>\n

Under the Roman era there was a real industrial activity linked to the production of taps, known at the time by the name of valvulae<\/em>. already during the Roman era there were mixers as a household object useful for the supply of cold and hot water. A system considered at the time a true innovation.<\/p>\n

The diffusion of the tap will continue in the following centuries, always in the “male” variant. In most cases the taps were used for large wine barrels and for regulating liquids stored in large containers.<\/p>\n

The screw taps<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In 1800, the invention of the screw tap was introduced. A modern system that was able to adjust the flow of water. It will become commonplace, thanks to the development in water distribution homes.<\/p>\n

Single-lever mixers<\/strong><\/h2>\n

By the end of the seventies of the twentieth century, however, a new type of system began to spread: the ceramic disc single-lever mixer. It begins to develop the model of tap that will accompany us to this day in our homes and which definitively replaces the previous taps.<\/p>\n
