The approach to intimate cleaning between people\u2019s is really different, and this is one of the principal causes of the lack of bidets in most of the bathroom of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Although the <strong>bidet<\/strong> was invented in France, it\u2019s hard to find one in its apartments (just 40% of houses have one). It\u2019s generally diffused in <strong>South Europe<\/strong>, but less than Italy. In Spain, for example, there\u2019s a bidet in old apartments, but it\u2019s usually removed in the restructured ones on it\u2019s not installed in the new ones.<\/p>\n<p>Different situation in <strong>UK<\/strong>, where the diffusion of bidet it\u2019s almost null. It\u2019s really hard to find one in Britain\u2019s bathrooms and young people don\u2019t even know what it is. In fact they are usually amazed when they see one in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>Same situation in the <strong>North-East Europe countries<\/strong>. Also there the diffusion of bidet is so low. In Germany, and in Scandinavian countries, there are no traces of it.<\/p>\n<p>People from <strong>United<\/strong> <strong>States<\/strong> don\u2019t know what a bidet is, and the ones who know connect it to something culturally negative: the first approach of Americans to the bidet bo back to the Second world war, when militaries frequented the European brothels. Also in <strong>Africa<\/strong>\u00a0 it\u2019s impossible to find a bidet, even in the most luxurious hotels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bidets<\/strong> can be found in Argentina, Brasil, Middle East, and Asia: in the Japanese culture in fact, the <a title=\"Wc of the future\" href=\"http:\/\/magazine.ceramicaflaminia.it\/en\/2015\/07\/07\/how-the-technological-wc-of-the-future-will-be\/\">intimate hygiene is considered really important<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So, the diffusion of <strong>bidets in the world<\/strong> is variegated, and it\u2019s extremely curious to see that what Italians consider indispensable, the other populations don\u2019t even know.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Image: \u00a0sanitari IO sospesi<\/p>\n<p>Image source: Ceramica Flaminia<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The presence or the lack of bidets in the bathrooms all over the world comes from a social and cultural question.
